Sam Kerr Biography

Sam Kerr is a star soccer player who captains the Australian national team and plays for Chelsea in the FA Women's Super League. She has also played for the Perth Glory in the Australian W-League and the Chicago Red Stars of the NWSL. Kerr set the NWSL's all-time scoring record during her time in the league with the Red Stars, Sky Blue FC and Western New York Flash. She was named the NWSL MVP in 2017 and 2019. Kerr has played for the senior national team since 2009, competing in World Cup and Olympic competition for the Matildas. Throughout her career, she has won a host of prestigious awards, including the 2018 Young Australian of the Year and the 2018 Best International Women's Soccer Player at the ESPYs.
