Scott McCarron Biography

Scott McCarron was a top golfer at UCLA from 1984 to 1988 and began a career in business after earning his degree in history in 1988. After four years away from the game he turned pro in 1992 and has since been featured on the top 20 of the Official World Golf Ranking. To date he has seven pro wins with three of those wins coming on the PGA Tour. His first PGA Tour win came in 1996 at the Freeport-McDermott Classic. The following year he captured the BellSouth Classic and won again in 2001. In major tournaments he has been a solid performer, finishing tied for 10th at the 1997 PGA Championship and U.S. Open and at the 1996 Masters Tournament. In 2002 he showed up at The Open Championship and finished tied for 18th. Over the last two decades he has been one of the top pro golfers on Tour and continues to perform week in and week out using his solid swing and unique touch on the greens.
