Spencer Torkelson Biography

Spencer Torkelson is a standout with the Detroit Tigers after being the top overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft. Torkelson was a star at Arizona State, finishing with 53 career home runs, just three shy of the school record. He is one of just two Sun Devils players to have back-to-back 20-homer seasons. As a freshman, Torkelson led the country with 25 home runs. That total broke Barry Bonds' school record for a freshman and also set a new Pac-12 record.
