About Sue Bird
Sue Bird is one of the WNBA's all-time legends. Her entire 20-year career was spent with the Seattle Storm and she was a 13-time All-Star. Bird won four WNBA titles. She was named to the 10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th Anniversary teams for the league while still an active player. Bird originally captured the imagination of basketball fans while at UConn. She was a College Player of the Year who led the Huskies to two national championships before being selected with the top pick in the 2002 WNBA Draft by the Storm. Bird was also a staple for USA Basketball throughout her career, winning five gold medals. She was named USA Basketball Female Athlete of the Year in 2021. Bird retired ranked first in WNBA history in games played and assists.
