Tayyiba Haneef-Park Biography

Tayyiba Haneef-Park is a retired indoor volleyball player who represented the United States in multiple events, including the Olympic Games. After a successful high school career in which she won awards for volleyball as well as track and field, Haneef-Park attended Long Beach State, earning All-Big West honors in three of her four seasons. Haneef-Park would also lead the team to a runner up finish in the NCAA Championships in her 2001 senior season. Haneef-Park has played for multiple club teams around the world, playing in Italy, Japan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Russia. Her greatest success, however, was when she played for the United States National team, winning multiple bronze and silver medals. She has participated in the 2008 and 2012 Olympics, winning silver in both events. Her individual accolades include being named the “BestServer” at the 2007 Pan-American Games, as well as being named “Best Scorer” at the 2005 NORCECA Championships.
