Tom Thibodeau Biography

Tom Thibodeau is the head coach of the New York Knicks after previously serving in that capacity with the Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves. Thibodeau got his start in coaching following his graduation from Salem State, staying as an assistant with the team until being hired as an assistant at Harvard in 1985. In 1989, Thibodeau jumped to the NBA with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Over the years, Thibodeau evolved into one of the league’s top assistants serving positions with the Spurs, 76ers, Knicks, Rockets, and Celtics. To this day, Thibodeau has one NBA Title, coming in 2008 with the Boston Celtics. In 2010, Thibodeau interviewed with the Chicago Bulls for their vacant head coaching position, earning the job and leading the Bulls to a 62-20 record, tying the record for most wins by a rookie head coach.
