Zygi Wilf Biography
Zygi Wilf is majority owner of the Minnesota Vikings. Wilf championed the drive to ensure the Vikings would remain in the Twin Cities for years to come. In 2012, state and city leadership approved a plan for a new $975 million stadium located on the same site of the Metrodome. The organization will lead the charge in hosting Super Bowl LII in that new venue in 2018. Wilf originally purchased the Vikings for $600 million in 2005 and the franchise’s value has grown exponentially since then. His wealth was built through growing the family company, Garden Commercial Properties. GCP went from holding just four New Jersey shopping centers to controlling over 100 properties. Wilf originally worked as an attorney after graduating from Farleigh Dickinson and New York Law School. He is a trustee along with brother Mark at Yeshiva University and has received an honorary degree from the school. Both of Wilf’s parents were Holocaust survivors.
