New York Giants Super Bowl XXI Captain George Martin Named Speaker at Leadership Prayer Breakfast

Many longtime New York Giants fans remember the name George Martin.  On November 10th, Martin will be a keynote speaker just up the Hudson River from where he used to dominate on the gridiron.

He has ben tabbed to speak the first-ever Orange County Leadership Prayer Breakfast.  The breakfast will be held at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor, New York.

Event sponsors can still register at www.ProjectIAm.org.  Five seats can be purchased as part of each sponsorship for $300.

Martin played his entire 14-year career for the Giants after being an 11th round pick in the 1975 NFL Draft.  He was a team captain for the franchise’s first Super Bowl win in 1987.

Despite being a defensive player, Martin had the unique knack for scoring, and collected seven touchdowns in his career.  That stood as an NFL record until Jason Taylor broke it in 2006.

Martin is more recently better known for his Journey for 9/11.  He completed a nine-month walk from New York City to San Diego and raised over $2 million to help 9/11 first responders with their medical bills.
