An area sports star is returning to headline the Hudson Valley Sports Expo. San Francisco Giants second baseman Joe Panik will be back in the region he grew up on November 12th.
The event is being hosted by Gold's Gym in LaGrange, New York and it begins at 10 a.m. Panik will host a question and answer segment and autograph signing.
Tickets for the autograph signing is $59.99. Admittance to the rest of the event, including the Q&A and access to 40 local businesses is free.
Panik has been the Giants primary second baseball since 2014. Last season, he hit .312 and was named to his first All-Star team.
As a rookie, Panik made his debut in late June and went on to hit .305. He became an even bigger star in the postseason as San Francisco marched to a World Series title.
In Game 5 of the National League Championship Series, Panik hit a home run that helped carry the Giants over the Cardinals. On the World Series stage, he started a tremendous double play in that helped them go on to a 3-2 deciding Game 7 victory over the Kansas City Royals.
