American Sports Icon Nancy Kerrigan to Share Insights and Inspiration at Leading West Texas Business Event

The Odessa Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 5th Annual SheCan Women’s Conference on March 5 at the Odessa Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. The event features local vendors, community philanthropy, and professional development, including a panel discussion on Women in Business. They have invited beloved and highly decorated Olympic figure skating legend Nancy Kerrigan to serve as the event’s keynote speaker.

Kerrigan remains one of America’s most recognizable sports icons. She rose to prominence in the early 1990s, winning bronze at the 1991 World Championships, bronze at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, and silver at the 1992 Worlds and the 1993 U.S. National Championships. Her greatest Olympic achievement came at the 1994 Lillehammer Games. Inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2004, she later became a mother of three, a spokesperson, and an occasional performer.

The SheCan Women’s Conference will also honor a local community volunteer, Mari Willis, and feature local speakers discussing topics such as Women in Business & Leadership, Building Community through Volunteerism & Philanthropy, a Local Artist Style Show, Dog Adoptions and Stretching, plus more.
