Women’s Basketball Gold Medalist Maya Moore Hosts Connecticut Youth Camp in November

Fresh off an Olympic gold medal-winning performance with Team USA, women's basketball star Maya Moore will host a youth camp this fall.  She will be doing it back in her old stomping grounds of hoops-crazed Connecticut.

The ShopRite Maya Moore Basketball ProCamp takes place November 5th in East Granby.  The one-day session at East Granby High School runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Boys and girls from grades 1-12 are eligible to attend for a cost of $79.  Campers will receive a Moore autograph, team photo and camp t-shirt.

Moore just won her second Olympic gold medal in Rio.  She has been a star in international play and was the MVP of the 2014 World Championships.

Currently, Moore suits up for the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA.  She is a three-time WNBA champion and five-time All-Star.

Moore was the number one pick in the 2011 WNBA Draft after a banner career at UConn.  She was a two-time national champion and two-time Naismith College Player of the Year.
