About Adam Kennedy
Adam Kennedy had a 14-year major league career. He played college baseball at Cal State Northridge and set school records for career hits, RBI and batting average. Kennedy was a three-time All-American and led the country in hits twice. The St. Louis Cardinals made him a first round pick in the 1997 MLB Draft. Two years later, Kennedy made his big league debut with the Cardinals. In the offseason, he was traded to the Anaheim Angels. Kennedy spent the next seven seasons with the Angels and won a World Series with the franchise in 2002. During the American League Championship Series that year, he hit three home runs in a series-clinching Game 5 and was named Most Valuable Player. After leaving the Angels in 2006, Kennedy had another two-year tenure with St. Louis. He also spent time with the Oakland Athletics, Washington Nationals, Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Dodgers before retiring in 2012.
