About Alperen Sengün
Alperen Şengün is a star NBA center for the Houston Rockets and the Turkish national team. Drafted 16th overall in 2021, Şengün is known for his footwork, playmaking, and scoring ability, often compared to Nikola Jokić for his passing as a big man. He was named an NBA All-Star in 2025, averaging 16.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 4.1 assists over 287 regular-season games in his first five seasons with the Rockets. Şengün signed a five-year, $185 million contract extension with Houston in October 2024 and will be a corner piece on their quest for a Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy.
