About Andy Reid
One of the most successful active coaches in the National Football League, Andy Reid has amassed an impressive resume in 16 years as a head coach. Reid led the Philadelphia Eagles to four straight NFC Championship games and to Super Bowl XXXIX. He has revitalized the Kansas City Chiefs as well and turned them into a postseason contender. Reid holds Eagles records for coaching wins, winning percentage, and playoff wins. At both of his head coaching stops, he has had final say on personnel. Reid gained notoriety as quarterback coach of the Green Bay Packers, watching over Brett Favre and learning under Mike Holmgren. Prior to his work in Green Bay, he was a college assistant at BYU, San Francisco State, Northern Arizona, UTEP, and Missouri. Originally from Los Angeles, California, Reid played college football at BYU for LaVell Edwards. One of the great challenges of Reid’s life was persevering in 2012 after the loss of his son Garrett to a drug overdose.
