About Archie Miller
Archie Miller is the current head men's basketball coach at Rhode Island. He built a tremendous resume as the head men's basketball coach at Indiana University and Dayton. Miller piloted the Dayton Flyers to unprecedented success. Miller’s Dayton team had their best season in 2013-14, finishing 26-11 in the regular season and advancing all the way to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. That started a streak of four straight Tournament appearances for the Flyers under Miller. They also won back-to-back Atlantic 10 regular season titles in 2016 and 2017. He won a combined 37 games in his first two seasons at the helm of the Flyers. Prior to his head coaching debut, Miller was the associate head coach for his brother Sean at Arizona. He was also an assistant at Ohio State, Arizona State, NC State, and Western Kentucky. Miller played collegiately for the Wolfpack, where he finished second all-time in free throw and three point shooting percentage. Both Miller boys played high school basketball for their father John at Blackhawk High School in Pennsylvania. They learned the coaching trade from dad, who racked up 657 wins over a 35 year high school coaching career.
