About Asante Samuel
Asante Samuel was one of the NFL’s most successful cornerbacks. Samuel was a two-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, and a two-time All-Pro. He has led the NFL in interceptions twice. In addition to his time with the Patriots, Samuel also suited up for the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons. When he signed with the Eagles, Samuel was one of the biggest names in free agency and inked a six year, 56 million dollar contract. He was drafted by New England out of UCF in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. While with the Knights, Samuel was a first-team all-Mid American Conference selection in 2001. He went to Boyd H. Anderson High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Samuel played quarterback in high school in addition to his duties on defense. His self-named foundation provides support to single moms and he has helped families in his NFL cities and his hometown.
