About Braden Holtby
Braden Holtby is one of the top goaltenders and a five-time All-Star in the NHL who currently plays for the Dallas Stars. The Washington Capitals originally selected Holtby in the fourth round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He made his debut with Washington in 2010. After spending the majority of the following season in the minors, Holtby became a star in the postseason. He helped the Caps win their first-round series and push the top-seeded Rangers to seven games in round two. Following his stellar playoff run, Holtby was named the team's permanent starter prior to the 2012-13 season. In 2016, he tied the NHL record with 48 regular-season wins and won the Vezina Trophy. The following season, he became the third goalie to record three straight 40-win campaigns. He also became the second-fastest goaltender to record 200 wins in 2017.
