About Brandon Bass
Brandon Bass joined the New Orleans Hornets in 2005 as a second round selection out of Louisiana State University. Bass is a Baton Rouge native and played his prep basketball at Capitol City High School. He signed with LSU as one of the most sought after high school prospects in the nation. During his career with the Tigers he was a standout performer and earned 2005 SEC Player of the Year honors. After being selected with the 33rd overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft he joined the Hornets and became a valuable contributor off the bench. After the 2007 season he joined the Dallas Mavericks and played two seasons before joining the Orlando Magic. It was with the Magic where he came into his own, earning a spot in the starting five in 2011 and averaging 11.2 points per game. In 2012 he topped that performance with the Boston Celtics, averaging 12.5 points per game.
