About Brian Gay
Brian Gay is a professional golfer who currently competes on the PGA Tour. A military brat, Gay movedaround a lot as a child, and he took up the game of golf at a young age, allowing him to get better andbetter. His success as an amateur led Gay to receiving an athletic scholarship to go to the University ofFlorida, where he led the Gators to four straight SEC Championships and one NationalChampionship.Individually, Gay was a two time SEC champ, a two time All America, and is considered one of the bestGator athletes of all time. Following his graduation in 1994, Gay turned professional, winning nineevents on smaller, mini tours around the United States. In 1999, Gay joined the PGA Tour, and althoughhe was a factor to win in most tournaments, did not winhis first event until 2008. This 298 eventdrought is one of the longest in PGA Tour victory, but it started off the first of fourvictories in a fouryear span, and he has been ranked consistently in the Top 50 World Golf Rankings.
