About Brian Gregory
Brian Gregory is the veteran head men’s basketball coach at Georgia Tech. Gregory is trying to return the Yellow Jackets to their glory days. He achieved great success as the head coach at Dayton for eight seasons. Gregory had five 20-win seasons and finished 172-94 overall. In his first season, the Flyers went to the NCAA Tournament. They were ranked inside the top 15 of the AP poll at one point during the 2008-09 season and also went on to March Madness. Dayton won the NIT as well with Gregory at the helm in 2009-10. He built a coaching reputation during two different stints as an assistant coach at Michigan State. The Spartans took three Final Four trips and won the 1999-2000 national championship during his second stay in East Lansing. Gregory also was an assistant at Toledo and Northwestern. He played collegiately at the Naval Academy with David Robinson and Oakland University.
