About Brian Hoyer
Brian Hoyer is an NFL quarterback who currently on his third stint with the New England Patriots. In high school, Hoyerwas considered a top quarterback recruit, and he signed with Michigan State University in 2004,redshirting his first season. In four seasons as a Spartan,Hoyer started 39 games, throwing for over6,000 yards and 35 touchdowns. Following his graduation, Hoyer entered the2009 NFL Draft, but hewas not picked, leading to him signing an undrafted free agent contract with the New England Patriotsimmediately following the draft. Stuck behind future Hall of Famer Tom Brady, Hoyer saw no regularseason time with thePatriots, and was eventually released from the team in 2012, signing with thePittsburgh Steelers just two months later, serving abackup role for two months before being releasedagain. Hoyer would go on to spend a season with the Arizona Cardinals beforesigning with theCleveland Browns, where he would take over the starting job in 2013, playing four fantastic gamesbefore tearing his ACL. In 2014, Hoyer started 13 games.
