About Bryan Colangelo
Bryan Colangelo spent two decades running the NBA front offices of the Phoenix Suns, Toronto Raptors, and Philadelphia 76ers. Colangelo was a two-time NBA Executive of the Year.
After playing basketball and graduating from Cornell University, Colangelo stepped into a front office role in Phoenix under his legendary father, Jerry Colangelo. He got his first opportunity to be a general manager with the Phoenix Suns in 1995. Colangelo drew rave reviews for drafting the likes of Shaun Marion and Amar'e Stoudemire and signing Steve Nash. That compliment of players helped the Suns compile the top record in the Western Conference in 2005 and earned him his first Executive of the Year award.
In 2007, the Raptors won the Atlantic Division for the first time in his first full season with the club, which resulted in Executive of the Year honors again. Colangelo continued in his role with Toronto until after the 2013 season. He selected back-to-back number one picks, Ben Simmons and Markelle Fultz, in his brief 76ers tenure.
