About Cam F. Awesome
Cam F. Awesome was born Lenroy Thompson on August 6, 1988, in Uniondale, New York, and he is a retired American amateur boxer who gained fame for his super heavyweight division success. He became the boxer with the most victories in USA Boxing history after winning 326 matches against 30 defeats.
Awesome started boxing in 2005 to lose weight and build his confidence. He won the U.S. National Championship in 2008 which launched his path to becoming a dominant force in the sport. He achieved numerous national titles during his career including four Golden Gloves Championships and six U.S. Championships.
The United States Anti-Doping Agency handed Awesome a one-year suspension in 2012 because he failed to provide his location for drug testing multiple times. After his return he adopted the name "Cam F. Awesome" while pursuing his Olympic dreams.
Awesome devotes his time outside competition to spread veganism through different media channels after adopting this lifestyle in 2012. Through his motivational speaking career he shares his life story to teach others about his learned lessons.
The current resident of Lenexa, Kansas uses his speaking activities to teach people about developing resilience and gratitude and adopting a champion's perspective when facing challenges.
