Camilo Villegas

Camilo Villagas is a native of Medellin, Colombia and won multiple Colombian National Junior Championships from 1990 to 1997.  During that time he became the first player in Colombian golf history to win the Amateur Grand Slam in the same year.  After a successful amateur career in Colombia he signed a golf scholarship with the University of Florida and helped them to an NCAA Championship in 2001 as a freshman.  He’d go on to earn SEC Freshman of the Year honors in 2001, SEC Player of the Year honors in 2002 and 2004 and All-American honors in four consecutive years from 2001 to 2004.  After earning his degree in business administration in 2004 he joined the PGA Tour and has since won 10 professional tournaments.  His notable finishes at major tournaments include a 4th place finish and 9th place finish at the 2008 PGA Championship and U.S. Open respectively and 13th place finishes at the 2009 Masters Tournament and Open Championship.  During his time on tour he has been a brand ambassador for Red Bull and several other companies who enjoy his personality and playing style.
