About Cammi Granato
Cammi Granato is a Downers Grove, Illinois native and played in every world championship for the United States Women’s National Hockey Team from 1990 to 2005. During that time she led the USA to a Gold Medal at the 2008 Nagano Olympic Games and a silver medal at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics. She has also led the stars and stripes to one gold and eight silver medals at the IIHF World Women’s Championships and two golds and five silvers at the 4 Nations Cup from 1997 to 2004. Granato was named the 1996 USA Hockey Women’s Player of the Year and was inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame in 2008. In 2010 she took her rightful place in the Hockey Hall of Fame. After her retirement from international hockey she became a rinkside reporter for NBC’s coverage of the NHL and also served as a color-commentator for the network’s coverage of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games.
