About Chandler Parsons
Chandler Parsons is a retired nine-year NBA veteran. In high school, Parsons helped the Lake Howell Silverhawks advance to the Florida Class 5A state basketball championship final four for three consecutive years beginning in 2005. In 2007, Parsons and the Silverhawks won the state championship in 2007.
Parsons attended the University of Florida where he was offered an athletic scholarship and he played on the Gators’ basketball team from 2007-11. As a senior Parsons was named First-team All-SEC, SEC Player of the Year, and AP Honorable mention All-American.
The Houston Rockets selected Parsons as the 38th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. Parsons officially signed with the Rockets on December 18, 2011. After the 2011-12 NBA season, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. Parsons spent his first three seasons with Houston before going on to play for the Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks.
