Chari Hawkins

American track and field athlete Chari Hawkins competes in combined events which include the heptathlon and pentathlon. She proved herself as one of the leading multi-event athletes in the United States. At Utah State University Hawkins started her athletic career by becoming the school's most successful female athlete who received three outdoor All-American awards and two indoor All-American honors. Throughout her college years Hawkins received three Mountain West Conference Athlete of the Year awards together with 24 all-conference accolades from both the Mountain West Conference and the Western Athletic Conference.

After finishing her undergraduate education Hawkins enrolled in the University of Bath UK to study for her Master of Arts in International Education and Globalisation. Team Bath employed Hawkins to compete in British Universities and Colleges Sport competitions where she won the long jump gold and took silver in the 100m hurdles. The 2018 England Athletics Combined Events Championships crowned her the winner of the heptathlon title while she established a new record that had not been broken in thirty years.

Hawkins competes at elite international athletic events during her professional career. At the World Championships she represented the United States twice in 2019 and 2023 and achieved 12th and 8th rankings in the heptathlon competition. The U.S. Indoor Pentathlon title became hers in 2022 as he received the USATF Athlete of the Week honor. The Paris Olympics 2024 began poorly for Hawkins when she failed to clear the high jump but she continued through all seven events to finish 21st with 5,255 points.

In 2025 Hawkins made a transition to long-distance running by running the London Marathon. Hawkins finished the marathon in 4:14:30 which positioned her as the 6,670th female finisher and the 22,142nd total finisher thus starting a new athletic chapter.
