Charles Howell III

Charles Howell III is a professional golfer on the PGA Tour. Howell began golfing at 7 years old when his neighbor introduced him to the sport. Howell attended Oklahoma State University where he was a member of the Oklahoma State’s winning team as well as the individual winner at the NCAA Division I Golf Championship. Howell also won the Haskins Award in 2000. As an amateur, Howell played in three professional events and at 17, he played in his first PGA Tour event. Howell turned professional in 2000 and on July 2, 2000, Howell played in his first professional tournament at the Canon Greater Hartford Open. In the 2001 season, Howell placed in the top-10 for two of his first four events. Howell finished the 2001 season with the PGA Rookie of the Year award. In 2002, Howell became a full time PGA Tour member. Howell has won two PGA Tour events.
