Charles Leclerc

The current Formula 1 driver for Scuderia Ferrari is Charles Leclerc. The Monégasque Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc entered the world on October 16, 1997, in Monte Carlo, Monaco. His father Hervé Leclerc who was a former Formula 3 driver and his godfather Jules Bianchi who passed away left their mark on his racing career.

Leclerc started karting at age eight before moving up through the junior motorsport ranks. He won the GP3 Series championship in 2016 before claiming the FIA Formula 2 Championship title in 2017 with Prema Racing in his first season. His outstanding performances in these series led to his F1 debut at Sauber in 2018 where he immediately started scoring points while demonstrating his potential. He joined Ferrari in 2019 to become the team's youngest driver and proved himself as a strong competitor on the racing circuit.

Throughout his Formula 1 career Leclerc has achieved eight Grand Prix victories and secured 26 pole positions. In the 2022 World Drivers' Championship Max Verstappen secured the title while Leclerc finished as the runner-up. The competitive field and technical issues have not diminished Leclerc's importance at Ferrari because he remains a vital part of the team with his quickness and determination.

The piano serves as Leclerc's main musical interest outside of racing. The COVID-19 lockdown allowed him to start composing music with French pianist Sofiane Pamart which resulted in their EP "Dreamers" release in February 2024. The EP achieved a number one position on the Billboard Top Classical Crossover Albums chart and a number two spot on the Top Classical Albums chart. Fans worldwide admire Leclerc because of his diverse interests and down-to-earth personality.
