Charlie Wi

Charlie Wi had successful tenures on the European and Asian Tours, which earned him his PGA Tour card, where he currently competes. At the age of 10, Wi moved to Los Angeles from his home country of South Korea. He attended the University of California and had a successful amateur career before turning professional. Wi split time throughout the European, Asian, and Japanese Tours and he found most success on the Asian Tour in 2001 when he won three tournaments and finished 2nd on that year’s money list. In 2004, Wi attended PGA Qualifying School where he performed well enough to earn his card for the 2005 season where he didn’t perform well enough to retain his card. In 2007, Wi again earned his card through Q-School and has remained on the Tour ever since. Although he hasn’t won on the PGA Tour, Wi has 5 2nd place finishes including at the 2012 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am behind winner Phil Mickelson.
