About Chase Young
Chase Young is a force at defensive end for the New Orleans Saints. Young announced his presence in the league, with 7.5 sacks as a rookie with the Washington Commanders on the way to being named a Pro Bowler and the NFL Defensive Player of the Year. He spent parts of four seasons with Washington before joining the San Francisco 49ers for their Super Bowl stretch run in 2024. Youn
Young was originally the second overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins after becoming the most dominant defensive player in college football at Ohio State. Young played three seasons for the Buckeyes and finished second in school history with 30.5 sacks.
As a junior, he broke the single-season program record with 16.5 sacks. For his tremendous year, Young was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and an All-American. He also won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, Chuck Bednarik Award and Ted Hendricks Award. Young was a second-team All-Big Ten pick in 2018 as well after a 10.5 sack campaign.
