Chris Culliver

Chris Culliver didn’t begin playing football until his sophomore year of high school but that didn’t stop him from becoming a 5 star recruit by the end of his senior year. After recording over 270 tackles in his final two seasons and racking up 1,500 all-purpose yards on offense as well as returning 3 kickoffs and 2 punts for TDs, Culliver definitely had his fair share of offers. Culliver chose to attend the University of South Carolina where he entered as a true athlete, starting as a kick returner in his freshman year when he posted the 2nd most kickoff return yards in school history (809 yards). By sophomore season, Culliver had switched to strong safety before again switching to cornerback for his senior season. Culliver went on to be drafted in the 3rd Round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. Although he hasn’t solidified himself as a starter for the 49ers yet, Culliver plays in almost every game and was a key figure in helping the 9ers to Super Bowl XLVII where they lost to the Baltimore Ravens.
