About Clint Irwin
Clint Irwin is the goalkeeper for Toronto FC. He began his Major League Soccer career with the Colorado Rapids, making 89 appearances from 2013-2015. His record with the Rapids was 30-29-2 with 25 clean sheets. In 2015, he was selected to the MLS All-Star team. During his 2013 debut season with Colorado, he tied the club record for shutouts with ten. He also had the most wins for any Rapids keeper since 1998. The Charlotte, North Carolina native played for several lower-level clubs in his home state and for Capital City F.C. before making his MLS debut. Collegiately, he played at Elon University and was a four-time All-Southern Conference selection. Irwin holds the Phoenix school record with 22 career shutouts and the single-season mark with ten clean sheets recorded in 2009.
