Corey Brewer

Corey Brewer, a Portland, Tennessee native, has been respectively nicknamed “Mr. Basketball” throughout his life. Becoming a McDonald’s All-American in high school, it was not surprising that Brewer was offered an athletic scholarship to the University of Florida in 2004. Throughout his college career, he earned two NCAA championship titles and was named the NCAA’s Final Four Most Outstanding Player in 2007. Not long after, Brewer was sought as the seventh overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Brewer tore his ACL in December of 2008 but continued to play for the Timberwolves through 2011. He was then traded to the Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, back to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and to the Houston Rockets. Brewer stands 6’9” and is a diverse player as switches off between playing as a small forward and a shooting guard. Brewer is admired by many and continues to contribute his talent and dedication to the NBA.
