About Courtney Banghart
Courtney Banghart is the head women's basketball coach at the University of North Carolina. Prior to joining the Tar Heels, she established a sterling reputation as the coach at Princeton University. She to the Tigers to the NCAA Tournament eight times in 12 years. They also won seven Ivy League championships under Banghart's watch. She was the Ivy League Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018. During that 2015 campaign, she also won Naismith National Coach of the Year after Princeton went 31-1. Fortune Magazine declared her one of the World's 50 Greatest Leaders. Prior to becoming a head coach, Banghart served as an assistant at her alma mater, Dartmouth, for four years. She began her coaching career on the high school level in Virginia. During Banghart's playing days, Dartmouth won two Ivy League titles. She holds records for single-game, season and career three-pointers at the school.
