Curtis Mitchell

Curtis Mitchell represents the United States of America with his remarkable running talents. Born in 1989 in Daytona Beach, he loved running all his life. Mitchell specialized in sprinting throughout high school, notably the 100-meter and 200-meter races. He attended junior college at Southwestern College in San Diego, where he became a four-time outdoor all American and state champion in 2008 and 2009. He then went on to compete for Texas A&M University, where he excelled in both the 200-meter race and the 4 x 400-meter relay. At the 2010 NCAA Indoor Championships, Mitchell set the record for the best indoor time in the world that year in the 200-meter race and the all-time record for Texas A&M. That same year, Mitchell represented the United States for the first time at the NACAC Under-23 Championships in Florida. He won two gold medals and the following year, he chose to forego his last year of college to sign with Adidas and debut professionally. Mitchell has since earned a bronze medal at the 2013 World Champions in Moscow and at the young age of 25, his career is very promising.
