Dale Jarrett

Dale Jarrett is a retired professional racecar driver and current NASCAR analyst with NBC. Jarrett got his start in racing back in 1977, competing in various smaller divisions before moving up to the NASCAR Busch Series in 1982. After experiencing moderate success in his first two seasons in the Busch Series, Jarrett moved up to the Cup series in 1984, racing part time before securing a full-time ride in 1987 with Eric Freelander racing. Four years later, Jarrett would win his first Winston Cup race at the 1991 Champion Spark Plug 400, the first of 32 wins over his long career. In 1999, Jarrett won his first and only Winston Cup championship after winning four races, holding the championship lead throughout the entire season. Ten years later, Jarret would compete in his final race at the 2008 Food City 500, ending his career with one championship, 32 wins, and 260 top tens. Jarrett now broadcasts NASCAR races with NBC after getting his start as an analyst with ESPN and ABC. In 2014, Jarrett was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame, cementing him as one of the top NASCAR drivers of his time.
