About Dan Boever
Dan Boever is a professional golfer who competes in long drive competitions. Originally a baseball player, Boever played collegiately at the University of Nebraska, earning All American honors and playing on scholarship throughout his time at the school. Boever was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds to play in the MLB, progressing through the minor leagues until leaving baseball in 1989. Following his retirement from baseball, Boever sold insurance and became a hitting instructor, eventually finding an interest in gold. In 1996, Boever entered his first long drive competition, qualifying for the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship. After meeting long drive legend Art Sellinger at an event, Boever would become even better, learning from Sellinger and pursuing a career as an entertainer. Boever has since competed on sixteen straight RE/MAX World Long Drive Championships, winning the senior division of the event in 2008.
