Dan Miller is an American sportscaster and the play-by-play announcer for the Detroit Lions Radio Network since 2005, known as the "Voice of the Lions." He also serves as the sports director and anchor at Fox 2 in Detroit, hosting the weekly sports discussion show "Sports Works."

Raised in Northern Virginia, Miller developed a passion for sports despite his father not being a sports fan, attending Baltimore Orioles, Colts, and Washington Redskins games. He began his broadcasting career as a college student at Mutual Radio Network affiliates WJLA and WTEM, working as an engineer for weekend sportscasts.

Joining Fox 2 in 1997 after the station's news director discovered his tape, Miller became a prominent figure in Detroit sports media. He took over the Lions' radio role from Mark Champion, teaming with color commentator Jim Brandstatter (later Lomas Brown) and sideline reporter Tony Ortiz. His passionate calls, like the Lions' 2009 win ending a 19-game losing streak and the 2023 NFC North-clinching interception, have made him a fan favorite, with many syncing his radio broadcasts to TV.

Miller's notable calls include Jared Goff's playoff-clinching pass 2024 and Matthew Stafford's fake spike touchdown in 2013. He won the Ty Tyson Award for broadcasting excellence in 2013 and was named Detroit's best local TV sportscaster in 2004 by the Detroit Free Press. Married with four children, Miller is an animal advocate, supporting local shelters, and resides in Detroit.
