About Danell Leyva
Danell Levya is a professional gymnast who represents the United States at international competitions. Levya got his start in gymnastics on the junior circuit, competing in his first Winter Cup in 2006. During the US National Championships, Levya won the Gold medal in the Floor exercise and bar competitions, earning him first overall honors. In 2009, Levya became the youngest member of the United States senior team at just 17 years old. At the 2010 Pacific Rim Championships, Levya won a total of four medals, three gold and one bronze, making him one of the best gymnasts on the United States team. At various World Championships, Levya has a total of four medals, one gold, one silver, and two bronze. Levya competed in his first and only Olympics so far at the 2012 games, finishing with a bronze medal in the all-around category. Levya is now training for more competitions and another Olympic run in 2016.
