About Daniel Summerhays
Daniel Summerhays is a professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour. Early in his career, Summerhays attended Brigham Young University, competing on the school’s golf team for three seasons. Summerhays was an All American during his junior season, adding this accomplishment to his already impressive two Utah State Amateur Championship victories while still in high school. In 2007, Summerhays became the first amateur to win a Nationwide Tour event at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Invitational, immediately turning pro after his victory. In his rookie season, Summerhays played in 12 events, making ten cuts with a top ten finish and four top 25 finishes. 2008 was his first full season on tour, as he would record four top 10s and 10 top 25s. During the 2010 season, Summerhays earned $391,742, good enough to qualify him for the PGA Tour. His first season came in 2011, but he struggled, losing his PGA Tour card and having to re qualify through school. Summerhays is now a mainstay on the tour, but is still chasing his first professional win.
