About Danny Koevermans
Danny Koevermans is a former professional soccer player and current coach for FC Utrecht. Koevermans is originally from Netherlands, and he began playing professionally for Sparta Rotterdam in 2000. For the next five seasons, Koevermans would make 120 appearances for the team, scoring 71 goals. In 2005, Koevermans switched to AZ, where he made 52 appearances in two seasons while scoring 31 goals. After three seasons with PSV, Koevermans signed with the MLS team Toronto FC, debuting for the team in 2011. In 30 appearances with Toronto, Koevermans scored 17 goals in an injury riddled time with the team. At the start of 2014, FC Utrecht announced the signing of Koevermans, but he was forced to retire midway through the season due to a lingering calf injury. He now serves in a coaching role with the team.
