About Dave Loos
Dave Loos is the longtime head coach of the men's basketball program at Austin Peay. He has run the Governors since the 1990-91 season. Austin Peay has made four trips to the NCAA Tournament, each time by securing the Ohio Valley Conference's automatic bid through winning the conference tournament. They have also been champs of the regular season in the OVC five times. Loos has been named OVC Coach of the Year four times. From 1997-2013, he also served as athletic director at Austin Peay. The court at the Dunn Center on campus is officially named Dave Loos Court and the long-tenured coach is a member of the Austin Peay Athletics Hall of Fame. He is the winningest coach in school and OVC history. Prior to arriving at the school, Loos had stints as a head coach at NAIA Christian Brothers University and Mehlville High School. He was an assistant at his alma mater, Memphis, on a pair of occasions as well. Loos played both basketball and baseball for the Tigers and was inducted into the school's athletic Hall of Fame in 2002.
