About David Berganio jr.
David Berganio Jr. was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and played his college basketball at the University of Arizona. While playing for the Wildcats he won the U.S. Amateur Public Links in 1991 and 1993 and eventually turned professional in 1993 after playing on the Walker Cup team. After turning pro he captured his first win at the 1996 Nike Monterrey Open with a brilliant 16 under par performance. Three years later he won the Nike Permian Basin Open with a career low 19 under par performance, and then captured the BUY.com Omaha Classic a year later for his third Nationwide Tour win. Throughout his career he has been a solid performer on the PGA Tour, finishing as the runner-up in the 2002 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic and capturing a 16th place finish at the 1996 U.S. Open. Berganio Jr. is a consistent player that always displays a calm demeanor each time he enters the tee box.
