About David Wise
David Wise is a two-time gold medalist in freestyle skiing for the United States. He won the inaugural halfpipe competition at the 2014 Winter Olympics and repeated the feat in 2018. Wise has won four gold medals in SuperPipe at the Winter X Games. He also captured a halfpipe gold medal at the 2013 World Championships. Overall, Wise has been a participant at Worlds on four occasions. He has finished first in the World Cup standings for halfpipe twice and has six top-ten finishes overall. Wise began skating at three years old and transitioned to freestyle skiing at the age of 11. He is a devout Christian and conducts a bible study with his wife, Alexandra, in Reno, Nevada.
