About Davis Love III
Davis Love III has joined the PGA Tour in 1985 after becoming a three-time AllAmerican at the University of North Carolina and capturing the 1984 ACC Tournament Championship. Since joining the PGA Tour he has won 20 events including the 1997 PGA Championship and 1992 and 2003 Players Championship. His other notable wins include winning the 2000 GTE Byron Nelson Classic and twice winning the Buick Invitational. Along with his wins on the PGA Tour he has also won 16 other professional tournaments including three wins at the World Cup of Golf. During his career he reached a career high ranking of No. 3 on the Official World Golf Rankings and has been featured in the top 10 for over 450 weeks. In 2008 he captured his 20th career PGA win and earned a lifetime exception on the PGA Tour. One of the greatest honors of his career came in 2012 when he was named captain of the United States Ryder Cup team.
