About Debbie McCormick
Debbie McCormick was born in Saskatoon, Canada but moved the Madison, Wisconsin as a youngster, which the Team USA Curling Team is more than happy about. During her junior career as a curler she won two silvers and a bronze medal at the World Junior Curling Championships from 1992 to 1994. In 1996 she won her first silver medal at the World Championships and then set her sights on achieving her ultimate goal of becoming the best curler in the world. After solid performances at the 1998 and 2002 Winter Olympic Games she achieved her goal in 2003 when she captured gold at the 2003 World Championships in Winnipeg. Since that time she has captured another silver at the 2006 World Championships and competed at the 2010 Olympic Games and won a United States National Championship in 2013. On the ice she is as savvy as the come and possesses an uncanny ability to read the ice and place the stone wherever she wants.
