About Desiree Linden
Desiree Linden became the first American woman to win the Boston Marathon since 1985 in 2018 when she crossed the finish line with a time of 2:39.54. Linden had previously posted a career-best finish at the Boston Marathon of second in 2011. She made her first appearance in the Boston Marathon in 2007. Linden made the U.S. Olympic team in 2012 and 2016. During the 2016 Games, Linden placed seventh in the marathon. She has a silver medal on her resume from the 10,000 meters at the 2015 Pan American Games. Linden ran track in college at Arizona State and was a two-time All-American.
