About Devan Dubnyk
Devan Dubnyk was born May 4, 1986 and is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was originally drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the first round, 14th overall, of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Dubnyk was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, but grew up in Calgary, Alberta. Dubnyk has been affectionately nicknamed "The Great Wall of St. Paul" by Wild fans.
At the NHL Awards Show on June 24, 2015, Dubnyk was awarded the Bill Masterton Trophy for helping lead the Wild to the playoffs while simultaneously resurrecting his career. He also finished third in Vezina Trophy voting and fourth in Hart Memorial Trophy voting, the latter as League MVP.
