About DiJonai Carrington
DiJonai Carrington is a guard for the Dallas Wings in the WNBA, recognized for her dynamic two-way play and leadership on the court. A standout at Stanford and Baylor, she earned Big 12 Sixth Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year honors in 2021. Drafted 20th overall by the Connecticut Sun in 2021, Carrington had a breakout 2024 season, averaging 12.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, earning her the WNBA Most Improved Player award and a spot on the All-Defensive First Team. In 2025, she was traded to Dallas, where she is expected to anchor the team's defense under head coach Chris Koclanes. Off the court, Carrington holds degrees in psychology and African and African American studies from Stanford and a master's in educational leadership from Baylor. She is also a Reebok ambassador and a vocal advocate for social justice and player empowerment.
